Well, what a jolly jolly was had at the weekend! Goat took me up to the town for a pre-birthday birthday trip. I was promised three surprises and surprises they were!
Firstly, dispite her intense fear of heights, the lovely Goat took me on the London Eye - my gasts were well and truely flabbered! It was very exciting and I took loads, and I mean LOADS of pics...
We followed that up with a quick improvisation in the County Hall at an international Manga and Anime exhibition, then off for surprise number two...
The Science Museum. I must confess I did indeed physically push small children out of the way in the basement interactive area so I could pump water, use a two-way mirror, make bubbles and generally play with all the educational stuff. Sorry kids, but it's wasted on you.
Thirdly, we ended up at the Tate Modern, after a brief detour around the houses, or in this instance offices and warehouses, and a slippery-slidy walk across the Millennium Bridge. Inside the TM we got to see the Rachel Whiteread installation, The Unilever Series: Embankment, as well as all the permanent exhibits.
We headed back to the Bay and on the way home stopped at the Ming Garden and the Off Licence, for chinese and beers. Finally, after a thoroughly exhausting, but exciting day out we slobbed out and watched Vanity Fair.
What a lovely day!
