Bass

Its been 18 years since I first wanted a semi-acoustic bass guitar and finally I have one... Now all I have to do is remember how to play it! Having become used to playing a ukulele over the last two months, the new bass seemed massive by comparison, and when I first got it out of the box I couldn't believe how big or heavy it was. However, I have had a few hours to tinkle with it and it's all starting to come back to me again. Except I've never really played a 5-string bass, so will have to get used to being able to drop down to the bottom B when I need to.The other thing I now have to do is find some songs to learn that are more suited to an acoutic sound; trying to play Metallica and Megadeth on it just sounds wrong. The next thing on my list is a digital multitrack recording device so I can layer the bass, ukulele, guitar and vocals into award-winning songs...
