Port Manteau Idents

Britica Amerain - Is that the new name for this country? Are we really sooo desperate to become America that one of our television channels, Channel Four, has adopted American culture as the subject of it's idents? Why isn't it a black taxi they use instead of a yellow cab? Why not a ramshackled building in Birmingham, instead of a motel in some Arizona-esque state? I could be wrong, the whole series could have been filmed in different locations around this small island and it could be Channel Four's sardonic take on the whole Bush/Blair affair, but then again...

At least the BBC have stuck to some British ideas for their idents... Even if there are too few of them...
