Flubdub

flubdub n.

A glorious (yes it is isn't it?!) nineteenth-century word meaning ‘bombastic language.’ Use it together with ‘flim-flam’ (humbug, idle talk). ‘Did you hear the Message to the Nation last night? All flimflam and flubdub, as usual.’

*guffaws with amusement
