I have recently decided to 're-process' some older images and here are some of the results...

Queensbridge - Karen

Another local artist had her portrait taken today, she works with recycled materials and makes a lot of sculptures with things she finds on the beach. She was very concerned how the images would turn out, but I think she'll be pleased with the results.

Queensbridge - Elaine

I had the great honour of being allowed to photograph a local business woman today. An honour because she positively hates having her picture taken! However, she has asked me to put a few pages on the web about her to promote her business, and as part of this I suggested that we do a promo photo shoot so potential clients can see who they will be working with. After a little persuading she finally conceded, and I think the results are great.

Had a short but sweet session with a local artist Amanda today, who was after a few images for her portfolio and website... And a few just for fun!

Yesterday a small family came over for some shots of the two of them together. Marie and Charlotte were enthusiastic, creative and unstoppable - what a dynamic duo! 

Queensbridge - Tails

On Wednesday morning I had the good fortune to work with a very talented gymnast called Taylor, whose mummy wanted some images of her in various poses. Taylor was very good at taking direction, incredibly funny and very tolerant of me - especially when I would get her to repeatedly do the same pose with different facial expressions to see which one worked best!

Sunday afternoon I was fortunate enough to meet a lovely young couple, Emily & Ryan, who were after a few snaps for their Facebook pages. We did some shots of them together and then a few individual ones. They certainly seem happy with the results.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to work with Embo and create some great images.

Beauty

Inspired by '52 Weekend Projects' (and a lack of funds) I have made a beauty dish. I deviated from the instructions for securing the end cap (I just couldn't bring myself to use wire/fishing line) and opted instead for a more sturdy solution; 75mm size 4 bolts and accompanying nuts. I also opted for a white finish over silver or gold for a softer light. I will post the results following this weekends shoots, but preliminary testing has proved extremely positive.

Queensbridge - Angie, Alicia & Kirsty

I had a great shoot with a very pleasant family yesterday and had the opportunity to try out a few ideas I had only really had on paper before. The two girls, Alicia & Kirsty, were very energetic, patient and had one or two ideas of their own! Together with their mum, Angie, they made the shoot a lot of fun and some of the fantastic results can be seen below…

Queensbridge - Mandy

Last evening I had a great session with a very lovely lady called Mandy, who needed some portraits for her portfolio and for her new website. She was extremely easy to work with and I am looking forward to working with her again soon.

Saturday afternoon saw a fantastic shoot with Paul & Nicole, starting with some corporate style images for their different portfolios and then some couple shots just for fun! I hope they are pleased with the results, they certainly left some very positive comments on the feedback forms.
